Releasing The God-Given Song Within You

1) His song is Passionate

 Zephaniah 3:17 English Standard Version
17 The Lord your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.

He doesn’t just sing a lullaby over us – He sings LOUDLY

Why? Because He is PASSIONATE in His love for us.

He ‘exults’ over us – ‘to exult’ – ‘to be joyful or jubilant’.

God sings over you and His song is LOUD and EXTRAVAGANT.

His song becomes your song and when you join Him in singing it, you sing your identity in Him. You sing what He sees and then you see it too.

2) His song is Positional

He gives you a new song of praise to God which transforms your position and perspective.

Psalm 40:1-3 ESV
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.

1 I waited patiently for the Lord;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
2 He drew me up from the pit of destruction,
out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock,
making my steps secure.
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and put their trust in the Lord.

When you are in a difficult situation, He doesn’t focus on your circumstances – He knows about it – but He lifts you out, places you high up on a rock, sings over you and changes your perspective.

Then He says –
“Now you can sing this song over your life, which I have been singing over you since before time began”.

His song becomes your song and when you join Him in singing it, you sing your identity in Him. You sing what He sees and then you see it too.

3) His song is Productive

Singing totally transforms our situation: –

Isaiah 54:1-3 ESV
1
 “Sing, O barren one, who did not bear;
break forth into singing and cry aloud,
you who have not been in labour!
For the children of the desolate one will be more
than the children of her who is married,” says the Lord.
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent,
and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out;
do not hold back; lengthen your cords
and strengthen your stakes.
3 For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left,
and your offspring will possess the nations
and will people the desolate cities.

The song takes you from barrenness to such fruitfulness that you are having to MAKE ROOM FOR YOUR GROWING FAMILY.

By doing what? By singing what you cannot see!

THERE IS MORE POWER IN THE SONG WITHIN YOU THAN YOU REALISE!

Songs change and set the culture of a country, for good or bad.

Let’s sing the songs of heaven and establish heaven’s culture in our lives, homes and nation.

Let God speak to you about you and write it down. Put it to a song and sing it loudly back to Him.

Then ask God to speak to you about Him, write a new song and fill the atmosphere with His praise.

Yes! Fill the air with these God-given songs and stand in awe to see what God will do!
